We're happy to announce the launch of InFlight, which adds moving map and basic navigation to the Flight Instruments app. Terrain elevation and obstacle data is presented on a moving map display, adding to your situational awareness.
Also shown on the map are the airports, with color coding indicating whether they are within no-wind glide range of your airplane. A separate tab lists details for nearby airports, such as bearing to, distance, runway length and communication frequency. Tap on any airport, and select Direct To navigation to get guidance to this nearby airport.
We will continue to add functionality to InFlight to enhance its navigation capabilities, so please let us know what you would like to see. Meanwhile: fly safely!
