We're thrilled to announce the availability of gyro attitude indication for Android devices. Now you can have real-time attitude indication through 360 degrees of pitch and roll. Our unique continuous adaptive auto-calibration ensures the gyro attitude indicator automatically adapts to its environment, and adjusts for sensor errors due to vibration, temperature and sensor bias. If you prefer the GPS-derived attitude that was the only option thus far, you can select this on the Preferences tab.
As with the iPhone version, our experience is that the gyro attitude sensors are very sensitive to engine vibration, so please mount the device with as much protection (damping, shielding) from the vibration as possible, and make sure to mount it vertical, aligned with the direction of flight.
Right now, the gyro attitude is only available for Flight Instruments, but this will come to InFlight very soon.
